1. Agreement and operator
These Terms govern your use of Shelf and related support services. Shelf is provided under the Meloideas brand by an individual developer based in Taiwan. Meloideas is a brand name, not a separate corporation described by these Terms. Contact hello.meloideas@gmail.com.
By downloading, accessing, or using Shelf, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Apple’s App Store, Apple Media Services, and applicable Licensed Application End User License Agreement also govern the platform relationship. If an Apple term conflicts with these Terms, the applicable Apple term controls that platform relationship.
2. Eligibility and personal use
You must be legally permitted to use Shelf in your location and must follow the rules that apply to your Apple Account. Shelf is for personal, non-commercial inventory and cost tracking. Do not use Shelf to break the law, interfere with the service, reverse engineer protected components, or upload content you do not have the right to use.
3. Shelf features and your content
Shelf provides local inventory, purchase-price and daily-cost calculations, lifecycle tracking, local expiry reminders, Project Pan, analytics screens, and related reports. Product records, photos, stickers, notes, and other material you enter are your content. The current release stores product content locally on your device and does not activate iCloud or CloudKit sync.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your entries and for keeping backups of content you need. PRO CSV export creates a shareable copy, and you are responsible for the destinations where you save or share it.
4. Expiry information and safety boundary
Expiry and product-lifespan information is an advisory tracking aid. It may be incomplete, inaccurate, or based on information you enter. Shelf does not provide medical, dermatological, product-safety, or professional advice. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and consult an appropriate professional when needed. Shelf's cost calculations do not determine whether a product is safe to use.
5. Free and PRO features
The current product model includes a Free experience and optional Shelf PRO access. Free includes the core tracking experience with a limited number of shelf spots. PRO features currently include unlimited items, CSV export, and the Annual Project Pan Report. PRO access may be offered through an auto-renewing subscription or a lifetime package when shown in the app; the available package, price, billing period, and entitlement are the ones displayed before purchase.
CloudKit or iCloud sync is not part of the current release. A feature described as upcoming or unavailable is not part of the current service.
6. Purchases, billing, cancellation, and refunds
PRO purchases are made through Apple’s in-app purchase system. The price, billing period, trial or introductory offer if any, and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Unless cancelled, an auto-renewing subscription renews according to the offer selected and Apple’s applicable terms. Manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple Account settings. Use Shelf’s restore-purchase option when it is available.
Apple processes payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund requests. Shelf does not promise a refund that Apple has not approved. Apple’s billing retry, grace-period, and refund rules may apply.
7. Advertising and consent
Free users may see advertising where the release enables it. Google Mobile Ads and UMP provide ads and related consent choices. Your consent choices and Apple’s ATT permission can affect whether ads are requested or personalized. PRO users should receive the ad-free experience only while the PRO entitlement is active.
8. Availability, changes, and termination
Shelf may be unavailable or change as we maintain the app, comply with platform requirements, or improve features. We may suspend or discontinue a feature where reasonably necessary. You may stop using Shelf and delete locally stored data at any time. Ending use does not automatically delete copies you exported or information held by Apple or other providers under their own policies.
9. Ownership and feedback
Meloideas and its licensors retain rights in Shelf, its visual design, code, and documentation. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Shelf for its intended personal purpose. You retain rights in content you enter, subject to the permissions needed for Shelf to provide its features. Feedback may be used to improve Shelf without creating an obligation to you.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Shelf is provided as a personal tracking tool without guarantees that calculations, reminders, availability, or results will always be complete or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Any limitation of liability is subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
11. Governing law and local rights
These Terms use Taiwan law as the governing-law baseline without displacing mandatory, non-waivable consumer rights available to users in Taiwan, the United States, or another applicable location. Any dispute or notice process is subject to the mandatory rules of the place where those rules apply.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms when Shelf’s features, vendors, platform terms, or legal obligations change. The published page will show its effective date and last-updated date. Questions may be sent to hello.meloideas@gmail.com.
